Psychology and Therapy

People often come to therapy wanting answers. More often than not, what they need first is a better question

Together we make sense of what's happening beneath the surface, untangle what's keeping you stuck, and work out what genuinely deserves your attention. Sometimes that means learning practical skills. Sometimes it means processing old experiences. Sometimes it means recognising that the way you've been trying to solve the problem has become part of the problem.

Areas of Support

Every season of life asks something different of us. Therapy helps you discern how to respond.

Anxiety, Stress & Burnout

Life can become dominated by worry, overthinking, pressure or a sense that you're constantly running on empty. Together we'll work to understand what's driving the stress, calm your nervous system, and develop practical ways to move through life with greater steadiness and flexibility.

Work Performance & Leadership Pressures

High performers carry invisible pressures. Whether you're navigating burnout, leadership challenges, perfectionism, career uncertainty or balancing competing demands, therapy can help you perform sustainably without losing sight of yourself.

Patterns that keep repeating

Have you ever found yourself asking, "Why does this keep happening?" Whether it's relationships, work, self-doubt, conflict or the same emotional reactions, recurring patterns often have deeper roots. Therapy can help uncover what's driving these cycles, understand the purpose they've served, and create the freedom to respond differently rather than repeating the past.

Identity & Self Worth

You may have achieved many things while still feeling disconnected from yourself, others or life. Together we can explore the beliefs, roles and expectations that have shaped your identity, helping you develop a stronger sense of who you are and how you want to live

Emotional Regulation

Big emotions aren't the problem but feeling overwhelmed by them can be. Together we'll build your capacity to understand, regulate and respond to emotions rather than feeling controlled by them, creating greater stability in everyday life.

Trauma & Difficult Life Experiences

Trauma isn't defined only by what happened, but by how those experiences continue to shape your life in the here and now. Whether your experiences are recent or long in the past, therapy can help you process them, reduce their day-to-day charge,  and reconnect with your sense of choice, safety and self.

Depression & Feeling Stuck

Sometimes life begins to feel flat, heavy or disconnected. You may have lost motivation, purpose or hope, or simply feel like you're going through the motions. Therapy can help uncover what lies beneath that experience and support you to reconnect with meaning, vitality and direction

Life Transitions

Some of life's greatest challenges come not from crisis, but from change. Career shifts, becoming a parent, relationship changes, illness, loss, ageing or even just sensing that something doesn't fit anymore can leave you feeling uncertain. Therapy provides a space to navigate these transitions with greater clarity and confidence

Meaning, Purpose & Direction

Sometimes there isn't a clear problem to solve, only a sense that something needs to change. Therapy can provide space to reflect on what matters most, reconnect with your values and explore the next chapter of your life with intention.

Grief & Loss

Grief takes many forms. It may follow the death of someone you love, the end of a relationship, a lost opportunity, changing health or the life you imagined for yourself. Therapy offers space to honour loss while making room for what can come next

Fees
Private Therapy

You do not need a referral to access psychological therapy. Choosing to attend privately allows therapy to be guided by your needs, goals and circumstances rather than the boundaries of a funding model. You don’t need to be in crisis, or meet a diagnostic threshold for a mental health condition, to benefit from thoughtful, supported exploration and skill building.

  • Standard Private Consultation (50 minutes) – $280

  • Depth-Oriented Consultation (90 minutes) – $495

The Australian Psychological Society currently recommends a fee of $318 for a standard 46–60 minute psychology consultation. My fee has been intentionally set below this recommended rate to help make high-quality psychological care more accessible. Payment is required at the time of your appointment.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare is one way of accessing psychological care, but it doesn't define who can benefit from therapy or how therapy should unfold. Some people attend more frequently for a period of time, while others continue beyond the available rebates.

If however, you have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from your GP (or psychiatrist or paediatrician), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $101.55 per session.

  • Standard MHTP Consultation (50 minutes) – $178.45

Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year, with an initial referral for six sessions followed by a GP review if additional sessions are clinically appropriate. Unused sessions do not carry over into the following calendar year.

Your rebate can be processed immediately following your appointment and is typically deposited directly into your nominated bank account by Medicare generally in 1-2 business days.

If you need more immediate support

Please note, this is not a crisis service and messages are not continuously monitored.
