Andrijana's work involves helping people and organisations recognise misalignment early, strengthen resilience and remembering, and respond in ways that are ethically grounded, wholistically informed, and practically workable.
An integrative approach to understanding people
At the heart of my work is a belief that no single discipline holds all the answers to understanding what it means to be human.
My practice is grounded in contemporary psychological science and evidence-based care. Alongside approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness-Based practices, I draw thoughtfully from depth psychology, developmental theory, contemplative traditions and transpersonal perspectives where they can deepen understanding without replacing scientific rigour.
I don't see these traditions as competing worldviews. I see them as different ways of exploring the same enduring questions: How do people heal? What allows us to grow? How do we live with suffering, uncertainty, meaning and change?
Rather than asking clients to adopt a particular philosophy or belief system, I aim to create a space where evidence, experience, reflection and curiosity can inform one another. My commitment is to integrate these perspectives thoughtfully, ethically and critically—always anchored in clinical judgement, the available evidence, and the unique needs of the person sitting in front of me.
Beyond symptom reduction
While psychology often begins with reducing distress, my interest extends beyond symptom management alone.
I'm interested in helping people cultivate lives that feel coherent, purposeful and deeply aligned with their values. This includes exploring identity, relationships, purpose, creativity, transitions, grief, awe and the experiences that reshape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
I believe some of the most significant moments of human growth arise when people encounter something larger than the stories they have been living. That may emerge through therapy, profound life transitions, contemplative practice, time in nature, creativity, relationships, experiences of deep connection, or carefully prepared psychedelic experiences.
These moments are not destinations in themselves. Their value lies in how they are understood, integrated and embodied in everyday life.
This perspective also informs my work in psychedelic-assisted therapy preparation and integration. I support people to prepare for these experiences with clarity, intention and realistic expectations, and to integrate them afterwards in ways that are psychologically grounded, personally meaningful and sustainable.
Extraordinary experiences alone rarely create lasting change. Lasting change comes through integration.

Change is inevitable.
Coherence and alignment are not.
My work focuses on how people
live change with clarity,
agency and spark.
Andrijana Vidovic
I'm Andrijana (Andi) Vidovic, a registered psychologist, Board-approved supervisor and founder of Avidus. Avidus was created as a home for work that sits across disciplines rather than within a single profession. The challenges people and organisations face—burnout, trauma, inertia, disconnection, underperformance and uncertainty—rarely belong to one domain alone. They emerge where psychology, relationships, systems, identity, culture and decision-making intersect. My work brings these perspectives together through psychological therapy, clinical supervision, leadership coaching, organisational consulting, group programs and facilitated learning experiences. Whether working with an individual or an executive team, my focus is the same: helping people understand what is happening, respond with intention, and create change that can be sustained.
Working with complexity
A central part of my work is creating carefully designed spaces for reflection, learning and dialogue. Whether in therapy, supervision, workshops or organisational settings, these conversations combine clear structure with responsiveness to what is emerging in the room.
Rather than providing quick answers or prescriptive solutions, they create the conditions for people to think more clearly, recognise patterns, challenge assumptions and discover practical ways forward that are meaningful in their own context.
This process is built on a simple belief: people often hold more knowledge, capacity and wisdom than they realise. Through thoughtful questioning, psychological formulation and collaborative exploration, that understanding can become visible, organised and actionable.

-
